Dr. Chao is a graduate of Zhejiang University School of Medicine, one of the top medical schools in China. He also served as a staff surgeon and assistant professor at the Department of Surgery, University Hospital of such medical school. He later obtained his doctor’s degree in the United States and gained five years of accredited residency training in general surgery as well as in rehabilitation medicine in New York. Dr. Chao was awarded the Attending of The Year at SUNY Downstate Medical Center for several consecutive years. Dr. Chao also served as the Director of Rehabilitation Medicine Residency Program and is currently the Associate Director of such program and the Director of Medical Acupuncture course at SUNY Downstate.
In his private practice, Dr. Chao is the founder and Medical Director of Naturo-Medical Health Care, P.C., a board certified and diplomat in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He was rated and awarded by patients as a Top 10 Doctor in VITALS. With 50 years of extensive practice and experiences, he treats his patients with complete devotion and dedication. In the most recent 20 years, his practice has predominantly focused on musculoskeletal trauma and degenerative disorders for the purpose of function restoration. He emphasizes that a happy mind and restoration of normal function are essential to maintaining good health and reaching ideal longevity. Through his practice, Dr. Chao realized that restoration of sexual dysfunction is one important aspect to reach such goals.
